Two months before Christmas (in 2006) I asked my dad if I could have God's Spirit. His name is Peter and my name is Jonatha. Am I a Christian? Yes, because I believe that God died for me and everyone else, too. I have been baptized. I was baptized in Boulder Creek. The water was cold.

1st Day
Today was my first day at school. Ms. Crawford is really nice. I met 4 new friends today. The playground is awesome, but the only change from Monarch K-8 is that they have too many playground rules (they won't let me climb on top!). But it's nice to be back to school. I feel at home when I go to school. Bye!

Summer Camp
Jonatha's report: "I had a great time. Chapel time was fun. We sang songs, did skits, learned from God's Word. The theme was 'Jesus - Our Hero'. I liked my cabin leader. Her name is Britta, and I've had her as my cabin leader two years in a row. I liked going to the lake to swim and ride the slide. But, sometimes it was boring hanging out with the boys. I had to sit out on the shore because we played water tag with them and I got tired of them. Overall, the best time. Oh...and the sweet shop...and the slip and slide...and I liked the relay races. That's all."

I was "Friend of the Week" at Monarch K-8 last week. Here's my friend Max the Dragon, who got to spend the entire week at home with me. He rocks!

Jonatha's First Blog
Let's see...I'm gonna go to the mountains this spring break. I want to take the blue runs at Eldora because I like skiing. It's the best. I am also gonna take gymnastics in April after we move. My daddy thinks I'm ready for it...I can't wait.
Today at school I wrote some new sentences that were hard. It felt like a spelling bee (which I like). I like school more than field trips because learning is very fun.
That's all I want to say tonight. See ya later...

Introduction
Hi, my name is Jonatha Shay. My brother said he got his very own blog, so I figured I better have one, too. My name means "gift given from God". My daddy wanted the name because he always wanted a girl.
I am nearly 6 years old and attend Kindergarten. I am an adventurous free spirit, who loves danger, excitement and fun. I like to ski, hike, and ride bikes like the boys, but also enjoy the girly things of life like playing house, tea party, and always love doing my hair. I even get to wear make-up around the house for fun. I live in Boulder County, CO, the coolest place to enjoy the outdoors. Come see me sometime.
Last year I made a big decision and put my faith in Jesus for my salvation. I've been asking questions about God since I was 2, but took the step of faith last year. This year I hope to be baptized, but we have to wait for warmer weather since our church meets in homes, and we can't do it inside. I can't wait.
Check out Aidan's website at www.aidansadventures.blogspot.com. He's a pretty cool brother, so give him a shout out anytime.
